The Teamsters Canada Rail Conference (TCRC) is pleased to
announce the creation of a new Division representing members employed at
TransEd (Light Rail Transit) in Edmonton, Alberta.
On May 4, TCRC President Paul Boucher and TCRC Vice President
Ryan Finnson met with members in Edmonton to formally present the
charter for newly established Division 990.
During the meeting Division Officers were appointed, and
discussions were held regarding the structure, roles, and
responsibilities necessary to begin building and operating the new
Division. The session also provided an opportunity to review the
important role Division leadership plays in supporting members,
addressing workplace issues, and strengthening communication and
engagement within the union.
The establishment of Division 990 marks an important step in
expanding representation and strengthening the voice of TCRC members
working at TransEd. The TCRC looks forward to supporting the new
Division and its leadership as they begin this important work on behalf
of the membership.
Congratulations to the newly appointed officers and all members
involved in the launch of Division 990.
