Negotiations Bulletin 14

August 21st - All TCRC Local Chairs – CPKC Eastern and Western Regions – Negotiations Bulletin 14

Sisters and Brothers:

This letter is further to our earlier Bulletin 13 of today.

As all members are aware we are now in a legal work stoppage (0001 ET Thursday August 22, 2024), resulting from CPKC issuing their lockout notice 12 days ago and the TCRC providing strike notice this past Sunday.

Your Bargaining Committee has continued to negotiate the issues that are important to you with the assistance of FMCS and will continue to stay at the table as long as needed.

Members should now be manning the picket lines (0001 ET), and signs should indicate lockout/strike. We encourage the Strike Captains to call their respective contact person for any clarifications that may be required to ensure the members are getting the correct facts.

Know that your Bargaining Committee is determined to see this fight to the end with the goal of achieving a fair and equitable agreement. We are committed to ensuring a deal where rest at home and fair wage increases are achieved, without the loss of work rules, or the loss of income.

We thank all TCRC members, The TCRC National Office, and Teamsters Canada for the continued support you have shown us through these negotiations.

We will keep you informed on any further developments.

In Solidarity,
